Curaleaf and Select Partner With Rolling Stone To Launch A Dispensary In Las Vegas Plus Pre-Rolled Joints and Custom Vaporizers

Curaleaf and Select Partner With Rolling Stone To Launch A Dispensary In Las Vegas Plus Pre-Rolled Joints and Custom Vaporizers

Rolling Stone recently announced the start of a partnership with Curaleaf’s Select brand. Select is a sleek and ambitious brand that provides dispensaries across America with innovative products. This unique alliance marks the beginning of a line of “Rolling Stone by Select” products.

What may seem like an unlikely business decision is actually a great strategy. This project further introduces and normalizes cannabis into mainstream culture. Accordingly, the products’ boxes have the text “Made For Music” on the front. Besides, let’s just face the fact that if there is going to be a demographic receptive to cannabis, it would probably be the music community.

Three Flavors, Two Mediums

Select and Rolling Stone also announced that they are planning to open a Las Vegas retail location in 2022. By then, there will be a plethora of Rolling Stone cannabis products. CuraLeaf’s partners within Nevada will market them once they are available.

For now, Rolling Stone by Select pre-rolls and pod system vaporizers are the options in the works. Both of these products have three distinct “flavors,” picked by Rolling Stone staff:

  • Overdrive – A sativa strain with a berry flavor
  • Reverb – Full-bodied indica, meant to be more relaxing
  • Phaser – Calming hybrid with a fruity flavor

Pre-rolled joints are a gram each. The vaporizer system, “The Cliq,” is the newest proprietary pod system by Select.

Rolling Stone and Curaleaf

President and Chief Operating Officer of Rolling Stone Gus Wenner stated “Music and cannabis go hand in hand. Rolling Stone has a legacy of celebrating this connection and a long history of reporting on the fight to legalize cannabis. We are thrilled to have found a perfect partner in Curaleaf who gives us the opportunity to design a product that elevates the music listening experience and celebrates the deep connection between the two.”

“This is a synergy we are honored to share with Rolling Stone,” Joe Bayern, CEO of Curaleaf went on to say. “…They’ve included cannabis in their coverage for the past 50 years — something many other publications are only just starting to do today. We’re honored and thrilled that the Rolling Stone team believes in our vision… to create and deliver the highest-quality cannabis products and experiences in the industry.”

Rolling Stone by Select is a noteworthy union of publication and cannabis retail. Furthermore, it’s a sign of what’s to come in the approaching years. In other words, these sorts of bonds between mainstream media and cannabis corporations will become the bridge that normalizes cannabis in the public eye.
