From The Bay To Seattle, Saint Laurant Is Set To Make Noise

Saint Laurant is a unique talent. A new school hip-hop artist that has no problem rapping or finding a melody, Laurant is making exciting moves thus far. The type of artist that is what hip-hop currently is. Today we’re checking in with his video to “Loser” featuring Maia Quin.

The record is part self-awareness, part dream chasing, and overall about not being content with where life currently is. We’ve all had our dreams plagued with what could be and what may be. Saint Laurant acknowledges these thoughts but at the same time acknowledges that he’s spending far too much time trying to prove others wrong. The double-edged sword of working hard for your dreams while missing some of life because the work is hard.

Upon listening to his A Far Cry EP, one can hear that he was raised on traditional hip-hop but has had no problem keeping up with what’s current. A young kid with an old soul, Laurant grew up in the Bay Area but is currently residing on the East Side of the Seattle Metro area. The ability to distinguish between the sound of both regions coincides with Laurant’s musical interest and goals. Never wanting to get pinned down to one sub-genre or sound.
