Learn More About What The Sativa Science Club Does For The Industry

The Sativa Science Club (SSC) is a collaborative effort to help educate the cannabis community and industry as a whole. They have online resources, educational courses and, scientific certifications.

Cannabis Science Certification

The SCC offers a certification consisting of 20 different modules that deep dive into five cannabis related topics.

Intro To Cannabis Botany
Intro To Cannabis Compounds
Intro To The ECS
Cannabis Consumption Methods
Compassionate Client Care

You can get certified in person or online. For in person training you’ll attend a five-hour class every other Monday. Online registrees get a weekly email with all of the attached materials needed to complete the training.

Horticulture Science Program

SCC partnered with Todd Dalotto to design a cannabis horticulture program for for growers and retailers. Dalotto is a cannabis enthusiast who’s resume is impressive to say the least.

Dalotto has a horticultural research degree with emphasis on sustainable agriculture and plant breeding from Oregon State University. He’s a former Chair of the Oregon Health Authority’s Advisory Committee on Medical Marijuana (ACMM), as well as the ACMM’s Horticulture, Research & Safety Committee, has served on various legislative and rules advisory committees for the State of Oregon, and helped draft the regulations for Oregon’s Medical Marijuana Dispensary Program, and he even published the first hemp derived cookbook.
