Seattle’s own Shotta Pistol of the popular hip-hop duo Souf Souf is making some major noise on social media right now. After flipping Gotye’s “Somebody That I To Know,” Shotta made his own “Shotta Flow” and he absolutely snapped. The honest and hard-hitting track even caught the attention of No Jumper. After they shared his video, he’s been steadily going viral.
The beat starts off with that familiar croon, “now and then, I think of all the times you screwed me over,” from the original song. This sets the tone that Shotta might be coming for heads in this track. As the beat builds we can hear talk about people beefing that ain’t worth their time. Calling out all of the capping rappers in the world, Shotta Pistol is really about his shit and he’s letting us know on “Shotta Flow.”

“A Real Story to Share from the Perspective of a Trendsetter” -No Jumper
The drop on this track is straight heat as a heavy bass acts as a catapult for Shotta’s hard-hitting lyrics. Keeping it balanced, he throws in melodic breaks and uses autotune to give the song that extra flip. From beginning to end, “Shotta Flow” will have you in the constant stank face, eager to share it with your homies.
It was a generally quiet year for Shotta Pistol and Souf Souf. After signing with H1ghr Music in 2020, they dropped their debut album Vibes Out Souf. Since then, they have been laying low, working no doubt, and being active on socials, but we hadn’t gotten a lot of new music.
This drop from Shotta Pistol is exactly that I’m sure, just a drop in the bucket for what they have coming for us in 2022. Fans are eager for more bangers from both members of Souf Souf, but for now, we will be steadily bumping “Shotta Flow.”
What do you think of this drop? Is the beat hard or is he doing too much? Let us know in the comments!
