Elevate Cannabis Co. came into legal cannabis initially nine years ago in Colorado’s market. They spent only two years in Colorado before feeling their market was facing over-saturation and then made the move to Washington in 2012. They’ve since found their niche in the i502 market and have been able to consistently produce competitive recreational cannabis. I had the opportunity to try out some of their Sizzurp hybrid that comes from Exotic Genetix—so I knew I was in for a treat.

Sizzurp is a strain that originates from Washington seed-growing extraordinaires, Exotic Genetix. It’s a 60/40 indica-dominant hybrid that’s made from crossing a Spirit In The Sky mother with a Cookies and Cream father. It gets its name from the candy-like, cough syrup-reminiscent scent it gives off, and the nug I had was no exception. I took note of the little spots of purple that made appearances once I broke the nug apart.

Sizzurp From Elevate Cannabis Co. Will Keep You Nice And ToastyThe dense nugget of Sizzurp broke apart super easy and gave off more of the notorious aroma I didn’t initially get. I made the executive decision to twist up a Swisher of this bud to get me nice and toasty, and happily immobile indoors during the inclement weather. A few puffs in and I got the sweet, cough syrupy flavor profile that it’s known for. The blunt got me just right, with the high mostly being physical, not making me unable to function.
