Skywalker OG Strain Review Featuring The Cloudious 9 Atomic9 Dry Herb Vaporizer + The Cure Company

Skywalker OG is a cross between Skywalker and OG Kush, a progeny of Chemdawg and Lemon Thai. With such an impressive lineage, Skywalker OG rivals some of the best strains available today. In this Skywalker OG strain review, we check out The Cure Company‘s version of this potent strain.

The Cure Company operates a two-story cultivation facility and dispensary located in the Arts District of Downtown L.A. The company uses the eight on-site grow rooms to cultivate “insanely high quality” cannabis flower.

Boasting collaborations with cannabis culture icons like @Snoop Dogg and Nipsey Hussle, their on-site dispensary carries “seed-to-sale” products, including the Skywalker OG strain reviewed here.

In this West Coast Weed Tour Review, High Its Max joins Respect My Region’s Jay Ping aka Joey Brabo to burn Skywalker OG in the Atomic9 and find out if they live up to the hype.

Who Is Cloudious9?

Cloudious9 is all about innovation plus technology. Adopting the Buddhist mindset, they aim to be the change they want to see. For the Atomic9 Dry Herb Vaporizer, that means “Dual Layer” heating technology. This patent-pending technology combines convection’s heating consistency with conduction’s efficiency.

The Atomic9’s portable size makes it easy to use at home or on the go. A “chamber loading shovel” lets you scoop buds directly into a ceramic heating chamber.

Six different heat settings give flexibility, but so many options could have been confusing. However, a convenient temperature bar on the side clearly shows temp setting, and a one-button user interface is simple to use.

Skywalker OG Strain Review

After checking out the Atomic9’s cool features, Joey and Max were ready to load the Skywalker OG. Our Skywalker OG comes courtesy of City Compassionate Growers (CCC), The Cure Company’s dispensary at their Los Angeles headquarters.

The Cure Company’s Skywalker OG consisted of dark green buds laced with plenty of trichomes. The flower smelled wonderfully musky, gassy, and piney with notes of citrus and berry. Dominant terpenes include Limonene, Bisabolol, and Caryophyllene.

Max set the temp to a reasonable 410 degrees Farenheit, and then he sparked up the Atomic9. The first hit produced a decent cloud, light aroma, and sharp taste. Max appreciated the similarity between flavor and smell.

For Joey, the Skywalker OG’s terpenes tasted warm, earthy, and creamy, typical of any strain smoked through a dry vape to him. But, he liked how its compact size travels well, so users can discreetly toke almost anywhere.

Final Thoughts

Normally, Skywalker OG effects are typical of a heavy indica, with cotton mouth, full-body buzz, and mind-numbing high. However, variable temperature settings allow users to play with terpene profiles to tweak their results. A 410 degree setting this time lent Brabo a more energetic feeling than usual for this strain.

Because of the variables here, we can’t give the Skywalker OG flower a final score in this review. But, the flower is definitely good, so we’ll roll it up in a joint and give it another try later. Stay tuned for that Part 2 review.

For the Atomic9, Max says, “I really had low expectations going in.” But he was pleasantly surprised by the temperature bar on the side. Plus, the vapor production was good, and it was super easy to load.

In this review, highitsmax and @joeyjayping give both the Atomic9 and this Skywalker OG a solid 8.5 out of 10. For more about the Atomic9, check out Respect My Region’s awesome unboxing here.
