According to MJBizDaily.com, Snoop Dogg’s cannabis-related venture capital firm closed its inaugural fund and was successful in raising $45 million, one of the larger amounts raised in the cannabis industry. Based in West Hollywood, California, Casa Verde Capital raised most of the money last year according to TechCrunch.com.
The Tech Crunch team also reported that Casa Verde Capital has invested in eight companies so far including a few cannabis-focused tech companies. Merry Jane, a cannabis-centric media outlet co-founded by Snoop Dogg in 2015 was one of the companies along with Leaflink, Greenbits, Trellis, and delivery service Eaze.
