“There’s so much talent on this record, so many styles of music, it breaks the algorithm. Right now, the algorithm is telling us you have to rap this way, you have to sound this way, but they’re not telling you how it’s supposed to feel. My algorithm is going to give you a feeling, not a sound.”

Snoop Dogg said in a statement

Corresponding to the diverse feature list, the album presents a great variety of music, with Snoop’s signature West Coast funk blending effortlessly with pop and R&B. The album opener, “Alright” by Method Man & Redman, is a party tune composed from the G-funk elements of a smooth and laid-back instrumental line. Crisp and resolute banger “Big Subwoofer” features Snoop’s Mount Westmore crew, including Ice Cube, E-40, and Too $hort.

For a warm and melodic sound, “New Oldie” taps Usher and Eric Bellinger. The project also includes Def Jam’s newest signee, Benny the Butcher. He links up with Jadakiss and Busta Rhymes on the previously-released “Murder Music.” Moreover, the soulful tune “Diamond Life” teamed up Mary J. Blige with DJ Cassidy.

The project is a mix of older and battle-hardened veterans and fresh new faces. Therefore, the mix results in an incredible diverse experience that sometimes baffles but always manages to entertain.
