STEP Academy Aims To Give Budtenders Essential Information To Better Serve Customers

The budtender is the sommelier of cannabis. To effectively handle this role, budtenders need to be the voice of knowledge behind the counter; assessing customers’ needs and understanding the ins and outs of their store’s menu in order to make the best suggestions possible. The STEP Academy, hosted by Joey “JayPing” Brabo, is an educational YouTube series that will certify budtenders with the knowledge they need to provide the highest quality service to their customers. 

Every week, The STEP Academy will feature a new budtender from dispensaries across the country. Budtenders and consumers alike will learn the best practices for the job. The series will take a deep dive into subjects like strains, terpenes, extracts, and products. At the end of each program, budtenders will have completed an RMR STEP.

About the North American Weed Tour

The North American Weed Tour aims to authentically capture the experiences of cannabis industry members.

Through series like the STEP Academy, RMR will review 500+ products and showcase brands across every category. Additionally, Respect My Region will feature more than 100 industry leaders on the company’s YouTube, LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, and Twitch.

This is the brand’s second year running the NAWT campaign. This year they plan to take it up a notch. “After last year’s overwhelmingly successful tour, we’re excited to scale the campaign to include more than just product reviews and podcast interviews,” says Joseph Brabo, co-owner of the company.
