Swayy Mula is a 21-year-old performer from Anniston, Alabama that’s recently made Atlanta his home within the last year. After steadily recording and releasing music over the past three years, Swayy is on his way to creating his own undeniable wave. After recently signing with Six Figure Records to handle his management, Swayy’s been getting ready for something big. Since joining the Six Figure Records team, he’s put out two visuals but has yet to release any new hits. Every move he’s making these days is either making him money, or getting him further shine. When And Why Did You Move To Atlanta From Anniston?

Swayy told me about how much he’s got love for his big support system in Alabama, but that “in Atlanta, it’s been moving better for me, [I’ve been] making better moves.” He said “my city’s so small, it’s hard to break out,” but “I still go back-and-forth.” Within the last year though he’s really taken up shop in ATL, where he told me there are quicker routes to leveling up. “In Atlanta it’s fast, everything’s fast, everything move like a battlefield,” Swayy told me about his experiences with the city.

Do You Feel Like It’s Better To Release Singles Or Albums These Days?

Swayy told me he thinks you should “bring a single out, one that’s going to wake them up.” He then went on to say that “you come up from that, and then you hit ‘em with everything.” Emphasizing quality over quantity, Swayy told me he believes in dropping singles with dope visuals and staying active on his social media to bring in attention. “When I first started I dropped a little mixtape, it did kinda good, but now I’m more focused on singles.”

Was There A Release That You Felt Put You On?

Last year Swayy came out with some hard visuals to accompany his single, “Neva Had.” After tossing up the song on Youtube with no promotion it currently sits at 31k organic plays. Swayy told me this release put serious eyes on him and had ample important people sliding into his DM’s on Instagram. Around this time he met Cheese Beats, a fellow Anniston native that has production credits on Cardi B’s Invasion of Privacy album, who he’s currently working on several projects with.

What’s Been The Best Tool For Building Your Name Online?

Instantly Swayy told me that Instagram is his greatest tool for building his fanbase and maintaining relevance in the local scene. “Instagram’s super important, the quality of the pictures, etc, everything’s gotta be professional.” Swayy also said that at this point dropping videos on Youtube also makes him go up. “When I drop a video, I get booked by spots all around Atlanta,” he said, “it’s to the point where [the clubs] they can’t wait for me to drop something.” He’s currently running up 40,000 streams a month on his Youtube channel with no push—just fire tracks and engaging visuals.

What Are Your Plans With Six Figure Records?

“It boosted my momentum getting with Six Figure,” Swayy told me about connecting with the label who’s main signee is Hitmaker Daye. Daye’s a “big artist out of Montgomery vouching for me now,” Swayy said “I’m gonna have a single out with him real soon.” Daye is also currently working with laudable producer Zaytoven via Six Figure Records, but Swayy will also be hopping in the stu with him soon.

Swayy’s upcoming debut single release with Six Figure will be a hard-hitting cut called “Stains.” When briefly speaking with Swayy’s manager, he told me it’ll be coming with a cold visual pairing that details needing to wash some bloody laundry. Swayy Mula is set to blow between his knack for catchy singles and strap-toting visuals, and with his recent induction to Six Figure Records.
