Swizz Beatz is back with new music, which includes his new song “Preach” featuring Jim Jones. The legendary producer has been all but quiet in 2018, as he’s preparing for the release of his new album titled POISON. The new project will have all-star features including Kendrick Lamar, Pusha T, Lil Wayne, and more.
On his song “Preach”, the beat is rather simplistic as deep kicks and simple snaps are heard from start to finish. Between those two elements, high pitched synth sounds mixed with sprinkled piano melodies are also added. One of the most interesting sounds in the track is the filtered breathing that fits in the rhythmic parts of the track. Even though the instrumental is simplistic, the variety of sounds throughout is impressive.
Jim Jones also stands on his own and brings a respectable set of lyrics to the track. His overall flow and rhyme schemes mesh well, and they fit smoothly with the instrumental. His creative and colorful lyricism is also a positive addition to the song. Listen below!
