Clean. Controlled. Consistent. The three words that appear across the top of a Virginia Co. cannabis jar. Virginia Co. uses a Controlled-Environment Agriculture approach to growing cannabis. This allows them to control every aspect of producing high-quality cannabis. Temp, humidity, nutrients, co2, light, and PH are all regulated for each individual strain. This ensures that each strain is produced in an environment that benefits the strain. Their Tangerine Dream strain is produced in this exact way.

A 2010 Cannabis Cup winner, Tangerine Dream is a cross between G13, Afghani, and Nevilles A5 Haze. Leafly states that this strain was handcrafted to meet the needs of working medical patients. This strain is from Virginia Co’s Beta Bud line. Specific phenotypes for Virginia Co. strains are carefully tracked down. There is a small chance that they produce a limited yield that is truly special. That is when these buds make it to the shelves of your favorite stores.

Buds from Tangerine Dream appear to have small spikes on them. They are dense but do not have a smooth feel to them. A shade of green comparable to freshly picked Arugula coats each bud. A faint coat of dew coats each nug. There is a strong Orange aroma when cracking open each bud. The Orange flavor happens to be one of my favorites. I was immediately excited about smoking this cannabis.

While this Tangie flavor may not have been as potent as others, the mellowness and smooth nature of the smoke was refreshing. Specifically for medical patients before 502, after smoking this strain I immediately understood why. I felt no pain anywhere in my body, and after my “nature” walk yesterday I was sore in a few spots. I had an extra bounce in my step as I maneuvered through my morning responsibilities. If you need to be productive, but also desire a pain relieving body high, check out Tangerine Dream from Virginia Co.
