Every year at the end of February and beginning of March, the Girl Scouts swarm your local stores selling their delicious cookies. Unfortunately for us, these cookies do not come with THC included in them. Marijuana strains named after a variety of their cookies do exist. GSC Thin Mints Live Resin from Emerald City Cultivation is a a concentrate version of the thin mints strain, not to be associated with the Girl Scout’s Thin Mints cookie.
A variation in genetics of Girl Scout Cookies created this thin mints version of the strain. This live resin is a great way to get your girl scout cookie fix without having to worry about eating the whole box. However, that could still happen if you combine both the cookies and the resin.
Extracts from Emerald City Cultivation are full of flavor. Previously I reviewed their Death Star Live Resin, a tasty indica known for higher potency. Similarly to this resin the Death Star Live Resin also contained an above average amount of terpenes creating a bountiful flavor profile.
There appear to be layers of a thicker sauce lays on the bottom of the container. On the top portion, a very runny liquid rests waiting to be dabbed. This makes the concentrate harder to dab, but contributes to the rich flavor profile.
While the THC content of this might not be as high as other extracts, that should not deter you from purchasing some. The flavor shines through providing wonderful effects. Hints of mint appear in both the aroma from the resin and the flavor of the smoke. While this might not be the perfect representation of Thin Mint Girl Scout Cookies, for those of us that cannot eat them it does the job.
