There are so many up and coming Cannabis Infused parties happening in the greater Seattle area. I was privileged to get to interview the head entrepreneur of the night Seattle’s very own TrapGod. The event was planned and executed by TrapGod & Win Win. This new type of educational women’s event incorporates the arts and pairs cannabis into the evening by creating a fruitful, open dialogue for women’s empowerment an most importantly a safe place space event. This particular event guided the attendees through a detailed outline of the creative step by steps process of drawing a blueprint before the paint was put to canvas.
TrapGod Interview
RMR: What does TrapGod stand for or represent?
TrapGod: As a Jamaican American, originally from the Central District of Seattle, I belong to the communities that develop the groundwork for I-502 laws that make cannabis legal here in Washington. Before recreational dispensaries and retail cannabis, there was the “Trap”. TrapGod is an ode to those people, an ode to the trap.
RMR: How do you see Cannabis supporting the arts?
TrapGod: Outside of being a cannabis connoisseur, I’m a comic book studio owner and artist. I smoke certain strains to keep me focused artistically or centered. It’s a self care for me as an artist. When art intersects with cannabis; it supports alternative forms of therapy, wellness and holistic medicine.
RMR: What are three creative cannabis strains you think ppl should know about?
TrapGod:
- Querkle (Space Queen X Purple Urkle) for all my people who love indica, it’s super relaxing, cerebral an really imaginative.
- Lambs Bread (Jamaican Landrace strain) is one of my favorite sativa strains. Bob Marley smoked this strain to create the majority of all his music. It’s the most creative strain I’ve ever smoked.
- What I wish is more people would know about terpene profiles vs THC %, ruderalis strains and the holy power of CBD strains, look into that shit. That’s the real wave.
RMR: What’s most important about cannabis education as it relates to women bodies or health benefits?
TrapGod: The things I like about the Win Win’s Seattle Full Moon series. It’s great; historically these practices are used to strengthen femininity, solidarity, and community within our core of who we are as women. The Full moon series allows me to create or reintroduce dialogue on facts about cannabis, how cannabis has always had a relationship with aiding women in anxiety, fertility, and mensuration. I try to remind women that Cannabis allows us to meditate, become introspective to focus and provide self-care within our own natural cycles in our lives.
RMR: So whats next for TrapGod this summer?
TrapGod: Shit…. trappin’. (Laughs) I’m releasing a book… Im going to travel an teach different forms of art and cannabis education. Hopefully this helps to create alternatives to therapy. I’m traveling back to Jamaica for the first time, staying at a source farm. I hope to learn ancestral practices of the plant and root medicine. I’d love to emerge knowing a bunch more cannabis scene out there. I’m all about reshaping the narrative, curating safe spaces for marginalized peoples to find healing, education and experience in cannabis.
RMR: Where’s the best place to talk shop and cannabis?
I’m usually out and about in Seattle, an I’m always down to burn one and talk cannabis. I work at Seattle Cannabis Co an were always happy to chop it up about any questions that you may have about cannabis. I’m always reachable on Instagram @SeattleTrapGod. If there’s an event your looking to plan and you would like TrapGod to host, educate or curate any cannabis workshop or events, or help through the process of how to create a cannabis workshop or events, LET’S LINK UP!

Win Win Fosters A Safe Event Space
I had a chance to visit the Austin Monique the founder of Win Win. Win Win has a private event space located in South Seattle. I was impressed by the arts and crafts culture created around pairing cannabis. I felt very welcomed by the women at the event. The women introduced me to an eye-opening experience about constellations, birth signs a predetermined fate.
I may not have taken these topics seriously from an outside male perspective. Something to think about folks as you just run to the next loud, crowded, awkward Cannabis event. Think about TrapGod and think about how education can change the way we view people and places we share within this world. Let’s all create a safe place within Cannabis. It’s starting in the “trap” with TrapGod and Win Win. I would highly recommend checking into Win Win. What an interactive way to be educated on relaxation; self-awareness combined with self-love and respect. ✊
