Travis Thompson and Ruby Room Present “Gems” Freestyle Series | Word Around The Sound

The word around the sound is that down in Georgetown, in an unassuming building, the powerhouse team behind Ruby Room Recordings have been cooking up some of the hottest dishes on the Seattle music scene’s menu. Nima Skeemz and Elan Wright are producing “Gems” a freestyle series featuring Travis Thompson and friends. Every week they record a video filmed in studio by Proverbial Media. The Bakeréé will be making sure to keep the vibes elevated throughout the series. So far, they’ve released three videos, “DMV,” “Cologne,” and the most recent, “Rich By Myself” featuring LAZĀ. When I say Travis isn’t missing, HE AIN’T MISSING.

Oblé Reed Releases “WHERETHEMONEYGROWS.”

Oblé Reed recently dropped his latest single, “WHERETHEMONEYGROWS.” The song is really my introduction into Oblé Reed as an artist. He recently changed his name from Moondrop to his actual name and that’s when I got hip to who he was. After seeing him perform at the Emerald City Gala, then hearing his new track, it’s clear to me that he has some potential to make a name for himself.

ANGEL! “BRITTNEY WHITE” Music Video

ANGEL! released his third single “Brittney White” along with a stunning music video shot by Proverbial Media. I’m such a fan of ANGEL! He is constantly pushing his boundaries by creating high quality, eye-catching, audio and visual art. I highly recommend checking out his other two singles and keeping him on your radar for future releases.

AJ Suede Releases New Album Indica Music

AJ Suede released his album Indica Music and performed one of my personal favorite set lists at Madame Lou’s with as part of the Fantastic Ruby Yacht Voyage tour with R.A.P. Ferreira and Eldon. The album feels theatrical, almost a turn of the century carnival soundtrack in a way. I think either, “Mount Saint Helen” or “Clearly” are my favorite tracks on the album.
