As a kid, a giant glass of Tropicana orange juice made my morning. Now, I don’t drink orange juice anymore because isn’t as good for you as once thought, and it bums me out. But Phat Panda’s Tropicanna Cookies strain has been getting a lot of hype in the cannabis community, and I wanted to see how these orange terpenes compared to a glass of orange juice.
The Tropicanna Cookies strain is a cross between DNA Genetics Tangie and Cookies. This strain produces vibrant purple flowers with forest green splotches throughout. The hairs are non-discrete below the smattering of spiky, shiny trichomes.
Phat Panda seals jars tight, so after tearing into it like a toddler on Christmas morning, orange terpenes blitz your nose and overwhelm your senses. Just smelling these terpenes energized me.
The weed was fresh, harvested late last month, but it was still a little dry, which caused it to be kind of harsh on the smoke. The smoke tasted of vibrant musky oranges. The orange terpenes came through on the taste the same way they come through the smell and it was an awesome experience besides the slight harshness.
The high started light, it made me silly and giggly. But the effects stacked and after three or four bowls, I became comatose on my couch, and Fortnite quickly switched to Netflix. The high overwhelmed my body and my head and completely nullified the daily monologue from my head and forced me to relax for the remainder of the evening.
