Portland, OR has been an uncredited home to some of the best hip-hop music in the Pacific Northwest over the last half-decade (well decade really). I’ve never held back my opinion on V. Dewayne being one of my favorite rappers in the region. His St Johns Scholar album was incredible and I think you should go bump that now if you have yet to hear it. Today we are blessed with a powerful visual from the now Chicago based emcee titled ‘Losing Direction.’
It’s been around two years since we’ve had new music from the scholar. One of his best friends lost his life a few years back and evident within ‘Losing Direction,’ the rapper was stuck. Dealing with drugs to cope while losing focus on purpose. Gone for a minute but back like he never left, a new album is apparently coming in early 2019 and we can’t wait.
