Washington Just Banned Cannabis Infused Gummy And Hard Candies

The Washington State Liquor and Cannabis Board released a major decision today. The LCB continues to build the car as we drive down the road and crack down on advertising and packaging. Products and packaging that are appealing to children because of color, similarities to products available without cannabis, and appearance are all in question. Be on the lookout for major changes from some of your favorite edible companies. Requiring rebranding are some infused candy, mints, and chocolates while infused gummy edibles and hard candies will be banned. While the new law goes into effect January 1st, 2019, stores will have until April 3, 2019 to sell all current inventory.

The LCB will be hosting a webinar on October 16th to answer any questions.
