Who Is Helio Supply?
In 2015, the founder of Helio Supply recognized a problem with standard cannabis oil vaporizers. Before many states had legalized cannabis, the original vapes were designed for use as e-cigarettes. But e-cig oil has a different viscosity than cannabis or CBD oils. And because they were designed for burning e-cig oil, old vapes generally used a wick-based heating system, which had a tendancy to pollute the taste of cannabis oils.
The Seattle, Washington-based company was created to provide better vaporizer options designed specifically for the unique properties of cannabis oil. Helio Supply provides a new line of clean-burning alternatives to old-school vapes using premium hardware for plant based extracts. In addition to the SolPod, Helio Supply also produces a collection of handblown, USA-made glass, a handful of battery styles, a variety of cartridges, and other accessories for the cannabis connoisseur.

First Impressions
Upon opening the brown paper shipping package, a sturdy, professional-looking box provides some valuable information about the product inside. The SolPod is available in five different colors, fits 510 cartridges, and is capable of switching the power settings from 2.5 volts to 4 volts run thanks to a “smart preheat functionality.”
The SolPod itself is a sleek, smart-looking product that comes with a beautiful soft case/pouch. It’s appearance it very discreet, and it looks like an iPod more than anything. I can easily hide it in my hand, and even if someone saw it, they would probably mistake it for a music player.

The internal 900mAh battery comes fully charged, and five taps on the convenient single button brings the machine to life. A nice, easy rip comes out smooth, and it’s not too hot. Joey can taste the terpenes which is a great indicator that the device doesn’t overpower the oil and burn the flavor.
Helio Supply really outdid themselves on this one. The SolPod’s discreet and appealing design ranks high for me. The fact that the battery came charged and the product was easy to open and operate make it even better.
Conclusions
The Helio Supply SolPod Express Kit was rated as a 9.75 out of 10. The only thing that really knocks any points off is the packaging did not exactly match the product colorwise. I thought I was getting the red and green SolPod pictured on the package, but the packaging contained a black one.
But aside from that, the SolPod provides a high quality experience. The things I love about this product are pretty much everything. Good vapor, perfect power, variable temperature settings, and it’s discreet appearance make this a winner. Out of 100 points, I give the Helio Supply SolPod a 97.5.
