Mike Posner is back with a new song titled “Legacy” featuring Talib Kweli. Over the years, he’s been hustling and grinding and continuing his streak with his latest releases. One of his latest accomplishments has been his Walk Across America, where he’s already logged 2,000 during the journey so far. During this period, Posner has dropped numerous songs which include “Slow It Down,” “Nothing Is Wrong” and didn’t let a rattlesnake bite stop him.
For his song “Legacy,” the lyrics and messages are the center points for the track. As he continues his exploration in life and within himself he’s created a track that is candid, honest, and reflective. Throughout the track, he comments on the aspect of legacy and what it means to him. Talib Kweli also rolls through with a verse that expands on this idea as well.
The beat also supports the vocals well with the track, as the laid-back guitar lead and boom-bap percussion drive the instrumental from start to finish. The instrumental is definitely not the focal point of the track, but the vocals replace that space respectively.
